How to setup Minecraft in a Virtual Machine


  1. Install VirtualBox (I have version 5.0.4)
  2. Download and Install the VirtualBox Extension Pack, acording to your version, from this site: download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/5.0.4/
  3. Open VirtualBox, Install Windows 7 from an ISO file.
  4. Restart Win7 guest in Safe Mode (with F8 key).
  5. Once in Safe Mode, Mount and Install VirtualBox Guest Additions ISO. Make sure to select and install Direct 3D support.
  6. Reboot in normal mode.
  7. Install Minecraft and Java JRE.
  8. Make sure you have "Mouse Integration" disabled from VirtualBox menu.
  9. Run Minecraft.
